Fresh Cuts – For a Fresh Start

We all know just how transformative a new haircut can be. A quick trim doesn’t just help us look great, it can help us feel better.
We often say, “you can’t underestimate the power of a moment,” and it’s also true to say that you can’t underestimate the power of a simple act of kindness or a fresh haircut.

Fresh Cuts aims to support people who are doing it tough with free haircuts, focusing on families that are exiting violent homes.

This week we kicked off this brand new service at our Assistance Centre, where we saw a number of families receive professional style cuts from the volunteer stylist provided by Oscar Oscar Toowoomba.

Some of our guests hadn’t had their hair cut in years, and after their trim, were totally transformed.

With smiles from ear to ear, each of our guests walked away with a sense of confidence and an air of positivity.

This new service has been many months in the making, and is something our team has dreamed about offering for a long time. We are thrilled to see people start receiving support, and our team can’t wait to see the difference this initiative will make in many people’s lives.

Everyone can support free haircuts through Fresh Cuts. For as little as $5,  you can help someone get a fresh start by donating now through our secure, online portal or by heading in-store to Oscar Oscar Toowoomba and donating in person.
